BIO

Nick thrives on complex problem solving, happily declaring “engineering is my passion, my life!”

Nick’s primary focus is on commercial and institutional projects, applying his special expertise with sustainable lighting and lighting control systems, and their pivotal role in achieving overall energy and cost efficiency. Nick manages projects on both the base building and interior design side, drawing on 30 years of experience in the industry.

Nick originally joined Mulvey & Banani in 1988, recently returning after a period working successfully as a freelance consultant. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering.

Nick led the Mulvey & Banani team on the new headquarters for Irving Oil in St. John’s New Brunswick, engineering the systems for both the base building and interior fit up. Other key projects in Nick’s portfolio include the Macdonald Block Reconstruction Project, Toronto and Vaughan Civic Centre.
